We've just visited Florida for a series of private wine tasting events. We are presently making the big journey back to Dallas.
The big tasting was at Walt Disney Vero Beach in Florida, where our great friends, Josef and Gabby besting hosted an evening for about 40 of their friends and I was able to present all the WCFW wines in an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment. My presentation included an audio visual of our camping trips in deepest Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is always difficult for American's and Europeans to grasp the concept that there are people who are mad enough to venture forth into the wilderness without any firearms and enjoy being surrounded by wild and dangerous animals. By the end of the evening they know of two, Richard and Eveanne who do.
In short the evening was a great success and copious amounts of wines were tasted and enjoyed. The perennial favourites being the Moreson Chardonnay, Mata Mata, Magia and a MKM which has turned out to be a great Pinotage. Also hitting the top spot were the Lynx, The Remhoogte Sir Thomas Cullinan, the 1712 and Nitida Calligraphy.
A great evening and special thanks to Josef and Gaby Besting.
